Mother of Two

Two weeks ago today I became a mother of ✌🏽

Reflecting back on my first time mom journey (old maternity pics on this slide) to now having two kids is such a blessing. 🙏🏽

Having a home birth this time around was the best decision my husband and I could have made.

While we planned for a water birth in our home, our Leo baby came roaring in the wee hours of the night 🦁 and there was no time to get in the birthing pool. 😅

Three hours from the start of the first birthing wave to her arrival. It was quick!!

And my body and baby worked so well together to bring our new princess earth side. Right in our home, in our bedroom, surrounded by our loving and supportive birth team (husband, mom, sister, midwife, midwife assistant).

It was all so fast yet so beautiful, and we are all still soaking up her cuteness 🥰

I will be spending the rest of my maternity leave healing, resting, and adjusting.
