Being Overwhelmed Is A Choice
You make a decision on what to focus your energy on and no one is forcing you to pour your attention to 1K things at once. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To be honest, a lot of us don't even know how to function outside of being overwhelmed. We have been so conditioned to believe that life is meant to be a struggle that when ease comes to our doorstep we find a way to invite over chaos. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you find yourself in the energy of overwhelm, take a deep breath and follow these three steps:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Grab something to write with and something to write on. Empty your brain onto paper all of the thoughts floating in your head. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Go through each item and prioritize them by urgency/importance. What ONE thing needs your energy right now at this moment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Focus on that one thing and that one thing only. Once that thing is complete, finished, and out of the way, return to your list for the next item/task of immediate importance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Start to take responsibility for how you focus your energy, where you focus your energy, and the why behind it all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a recovered overwhelm-a-holic this has truly helped me stay in alignment with flow and ease, which is the key to manifesting positivity into your life.
