Quality Time

I’m not typically one with my hands, but this was so fun to make with my Dad.

I present to you my smudge fan.

This month has been a busy one for me, with many moving pieces. It felt good to turn on some music and work on this craft for daddy daughter day. (yes, I’m never too old for these special moments).

Believe it or not, this smudge fan has been in the making for over a year, but we finally finished it this week, and it was completed at the best time.

I’ve already charged it and put it to good use!

Making this fan with my dad reminded me of a year in my childhood and how we celebrated Kwanza and handmade gifts for each other, my siblings, dad, and I.

That was a beautiful year and a major shift from what I was used to enjoying for the holiday season.

This truly brought back the memory of quality family time.

Since moving away from my family last year, the holidays have been different.

I appreciate this time with my dad, bonding and creating.

Moments like these will be remembered for a lifetime.

These moments remind me just how important quality time is with those you love, no matter the reason or season.
